Welk Band Enjoying Popular Resurgence

STRASBURG, ND (SBNS) -- Against a backdrop of unrelenting Chicken-Little angst, and constant hair-pulling by the Loony-Left over claimed 'risks of disastrous global warming', recent reports say that the Lawrence Welk Band, long one of America's big band polka favorites, is experiencing a remarkable popular resurgence in the North.   Pressed for additional details, our correspondents were unable to explain either why 'some'  Northern residents do not appear terribly concerned over the purported risks of  'global warming', nor to attribute any one cause for the Welk Band's rapidly growing popularity, saying only that, in BOTH cases, "the signs were unmistakable".  We will of course update this story for our readers, as soon as further information becomes available.
